KOREA TOP TEN BOYS
February 17, 2017-- APAC might be over but Far East is right around the corner and i am in Malaysia watching the ACSC tournament as I write this. However, I want to get the last KAIAC rankings out before we lose sight on an incredible KAIAC boys season that featured epic games, upsets, individual performances and drama from top to bottom. Congratulations to the Seoul American Boys of the Blue Division for another tournament victory which makes a total of 13 titles for Coach Steve Boyd. Shout outs to Seoul International School for their Red Division title and to Dwight School for its White Division Championship! The season is over and it is now time to get working on the next season! GO TO WORK!! This list is heavily based on who finished strong and had a good tournament showing along with a consistent season and next level potential.
Final Top Ten Korea Boys 1. Deandre Metcalf (SAHS)- EAE and Blue Division MVP 2. Quintin Metcalf (SAHS)- Improved and dominated all season 3. Nate Hellams (HHS)- can finish and rebound better than anyone 4. Corban Remsburg (YISS)- Still can do it all 5. Richard Redfern (TCIS)- carries his team night in and out 6. Keith Williams (DAHS)- handles the rock and scores in loads 7. Jalen Hill (HHS)- quietly plays his role and does so much well 8. Nick Larsen (SFS)- The biggest surprise for a loaded SFS team 9. William Son (SIS)- MVP of the Red Division 10.Elton Kim (Dwight)- MVP of the White Division 
January 28, 2017-- KAIAC tournament season is right around the corner and so is Far East, ACSC, APAC (just finished) and many other international tournament. There rankings are getting tighter as players are catching strides and making their case as to who should be on the this list. This was by far the hardest list to rank and some players and teams are not clearly separating themselves from the rest. This is a great problem to have. Thank you coaches and scouts for your input on this list. We are excited to acknowledge the individual achievements of these athletes.
1. Deandre Metcalf (SAHS Sr)- SAHS is starting to sharpen up as it approaches tournament time and Deandre’s expanding range and confidence is a major reason for this. 2. Tyrell Alexander (HHS Jr)- HHS continues to dominate teams and hold on to the number one seed thus far. Tyrell continues to lead his team by controlling pace and getting to the rim with relative ease. 3. Quintin Metcalf (SAHS So)- Quintin is finally showing the potential as a next level player as he is now using his size and athleticism to dominate the game. He is shooting at a very high percentage and his blocks are becoming ESPN worthy. 4. Nate Hellams (HHS Sr)- Nate’s footwork and athleticism around the rim on offense and rebounding still makes HHS is heavy favorite to win it all in KAIAC and Far East. 5. Corban Remsburg (YISS So)- There is very little this sophomore guard cannot do. If he is not driving and scoring, then he is probably dropping a three or a dime. 6. Richard Redfern (TCIS Jr)- Richard is still showing why he is an elite guard by posting a string of 30 plus point scoring outings and making teams work hard to stay in front of him. 7. Daniel Bang (SFS Sr)- Daniel continues to show his ability to do it all and stick out on perhaps one of the deepest Crusader teams in recent history. 8. Aaron Bell (KKFS Sr)- Aaron continues to lead his team in the white division and putting up consistent numbers with his ability to do it all for his team. 9. Darius Dawson (Osan So)- Darius may be inconsistent with game availability but when he is on the court he immediately dominates with his long arms, big hands and athleticism (congrats on your first in game dunk). 10. Andy Yang (KIS So)- Andy is by far the smallest player on this list but his speed and aggression make up for a lot. He has worked hard to add more consistent range to his game. This very well might help KIS knock off heavy favorite SIS in the Red division. SPECIAL SHOUT OUTS TO: Nick Larson (SFS So) and Joshua Nix (SAHS Jr) for the vast improvements over the season and getting closer to joining the list. 
December 27, 2016- Congratulations to Deandre Metcalf for winning our first KAIAC boys poll. Several thousand votes were cast and Deandre (AKA Dre) won out. By the way, it is Dre’s birthday today! Dre is an athletic 6ft 6in Senior forward for Seoul American High School. The season is still young, but he has led his team to a quick 2-0 conference start before Christmas break. He is averaging double figures in points and rebounds and there are several colleges in America taking a hard look at his game. But meanwhile, he is focusing on a KAIAC and Far East title.
Dre is the oldest of four brothers and I am convinced will be the shortest of all of them when the others stop growing. Dre will claim Texas as his home state although his mother is from Germany and was recently made an American citizen (Congrats to Monika). Dre is pursuing a variety of degree options in college as he considers where his next step will be for college. EAE is excited to cheer for you and we pray that God gives you wisdom as you use your gift of basketball to do incredible things. "DeAndre is long and athletic and he has the desire and the work ethic to achieve on the court; great potential!" -Raymond Farrell (NCAA coach and NBA trainer) TOP TEN KAIAC BOYS (BASED ON SCOUTING, COACHES AND PLAYER REVIEWS) 1. Tyrell Alexander (HHS) is a Junior guard from HHS and he shoots (literally) to the top of this list as he continues to lead his team to a 3-0 start and the conference in scoring. 2. Deandre Metcalf (SAHS) Read Article 3. Corban Remsburg (YISS) has strong college potential at the guard spot with the ability to do so much. 4. Daniel Bang (SFS) very versatile and smooth athlete with size. 5. Richard Redfern (TCIS) continues to lead his improving team. He enjoyed a 30plus point break out last week. 6. Nate Hellams (HHS) is a double double athletic machine. 7. Quintin Metcalf (SAHS) is also a double double machine with incredible length and improving post game. Expect his stock to rise. 8. Ibrihim Nomy (KKFS) continues put together impressive stats for his team as he outworks opponents. 9. Deangelo Sung (Osan) is a smooth lefty with a quick crossover and deadly midrange game. 10. Aaron Bell (KKFS) continues to lead his team to the top of their division. There are about 8-10 other players that are fighting to get on this list. The season is still young and I expect things to get crazy as we keep going on. December 5, 2016-- This is the latest top ten watch list for KAIAC. The season is off and running. The DOD schools have not begun yet, so this list will be based on the teams who have already played. I am excited to see what the winter break list will look like.
November 18, 2016-- This list is based on a variety of criteria. Points are given for those who are on the EAE college watch list, those who perform well for their teams, those who have exceptional stats, those who raise the level of their team, and those who maximize their skills. Much of this is based on the eye test and since I have not been able to see all the players yet, this first list is based on those who I have had preseason contact with. Congrats to those who made the list and good luck trying to stay on it! This list will be updated throughout the season! Whoever is number one at the end will be the EAE player of the year!

KOREA TOP TEN GIRLS
February 12, 2017-- Well, the season in Korea is officially over. However, a lot of teams will be traveling to their All Asia tournaments. But before we send them on their planes to face more competition. I want to acknowledge the final rankings for the KAIAC Girls Basketball. It was a wild season for 17 KAIAC schools and I would like to personally thank you for the ride. You ladies have been awesome all season and I look forward to working with you in the future and cheering for you as well. I am sorry for the many girls that missed out on this final list, it was a hard list to put together. Congrats to SAHS (Blue Division), KIS (Red Division) and Dwight (White Division) on winning your championship!!!

January 26, 2017-- Basketball is back in business for KAIAC athletes and the girls have hit the courts hard for their schools. This is the time of the year where teams are battling for tournament positioning. We would like to take this moment to acknowledge 10 athletes who have been vital to their teams success. These rankings have had contributions from multiple coaches, scouts and players. These ranking are based on player's individual overall skill, value to their team, consistent play and statistical achievement.
1. Krista Bradley (SAHS)- The SAHS girls basketball team is back in the running for a KAIAC Blue Division title and Krista has shown great ability in keeping the team going with her ability to handle the ball, score and control the game. 2. Christina Hoff (Osan)- This young freshman has shown flashes of brilliance time and again with her ability to evade defenders and knock down big shots in big moments. 3. Mischa Kim (SFS)- SFS is back on top of KAIAC again and will be a heavy Blue Division favorite in the tournament. Mischa is one of the big reasons why as she continues to be a rock in the middle of the paint for the Crusaders. 4. Soo Lee (YISS)- The Lady Guardians continue to fight and put themselves in a position to win every night. Soo's ability to handle the ball and control the game with efficiency is the reason why YISS still has a chance to make some noise in tournament. 5. Olena Vasyltsova (GSIS)- The Knights are dominating the Red Division and thanks to the strength and ability of Olena there is a good chance GSIS may sweep the division in route to a title. 6. Hannah McCullough (KIS)- Hannah's ability to dribble and knock down threes keeps the Phoenix in range of GSIS going into tournament season. 7. Sydney Wilson (HHS)- Sydney does it all for her team and does a great job holding her team together. However, it will be tough for HHS to go forward since it has been announced that Sydney is out for the season with a broken finger. GET WELL SOON SYDNEY!!! 8. Gia Kang (SFS)- Gia has had many big games this year for the Crusaders. She finishes strong around the basket and rebounds everything. 9. Jayla Crawford (SAHS)- Jayla has size and strength that is virtually unmatched in KAIAC. She is getting better every game. The future is bright for SAHS moving forward with Jayla as an anchor. 10. Jackie Kim (GSIS)- Jackie has one of the best shooting strokes in KAIAC and is deadly when she catches fire.  Olena preparing to battle against YISS
December 13, 2016-- In our first ever voting poll in EAE history we decided to poll YOU THE FAN as to who should be our top ten girls in KAIAC at this juncture of the basketball season. An official coaches ten will come out later during Christmas break. However, after almost 10,000 votes, I am excited to introduce you to Gyeongi Suwon International School, Junior Small Forward, Olena Vasyltsova. Olena is from Ukraine and is a multi sport athlete at GSIS. She is currently averaging 15 points a game along with 5 rebounds. She is leading GSIS to an imprssive 7-1 record and a top spot in the red division and with plenty of fan support she is number one in this edition of the KAIAC top ten girls!
"Olena epitomizes the heart and character of this year's team. They give everything they have every game and believe in each other and push each other to be the best they can be. The KAIAC 2016 Division 1 girls and boys tournament was held at TCIS (Deajon). It was full of classic moments. Such as the ridiculous steal and three point shot by Hana Ikeda of YISS to send their team over time in the semi finals against the hosts. Or the last minute heroics of Emme Warnken of TCIS that almost completed the upset of the tournament in the finals. All in all, congratulations to SAHS boys for winning a tough one against a solid HHS and great job SFS girls for sending their coach Jim Milliken off for his Danlast season with the team.
It is now time for me to release this year's top ten boy players in KAIAC. This list is based on a variety of factors. Statistics, fundamentals, instincts and overall impact play a part in the rankings.
